St. Patrick's Day cards

I'm not Irish, but I still like to celebrate St. Patty's Day.  The owner of the village office supply asked me to make a few cards for this special holiday.  I'm not sure how much of a hit they are going to be but it was fun to make these themed cards since I've never done it before.

Quilted Purse

I had a lot of fun doing this project.  I had a person in mind I wanted to make a purse for.  As soon as I saw the fabric I knew it was meant to be used to make a purse.

I love the colors. First I measured a purse my Mom made for me to get the dimensions.

Then I cut out my pieces of fabric and my batting. I quilted the fabric and then I put binding on the pockets. Then I made the straps and sewed them on.

I don't have a serger but I did a straight stitch and then a zig-zag stitch. I added a button and a little strap to tie the top closed with the button.

I'm pretty proud of it. I think it looks nice for my first purse.

You should see my Mom's purses. Her's are stunning and she is awesome at machine quilting.

I am so excited to give this to my friend at church tomorrow. If she doesn't like it, I will be mildly pleased because that means I get to keep it for myself!

Eggstra Special Easter Wishes

Does that little truck look familiar? It is part of the Loads of Love Stampin Up Stamp Set.  I had fun coloring the image with colored pencils.  I really like this stamp set. It will be hard to give it back to my friend.  I have been busy working on some St. Patricks Day cards.  I found some cute stamp sets for a dollar at Joanns.  Thanks for stopping by.

Loads of Love

Remember the website I was telling you about? Well I am totally hooked. The same friend that told me about the website let me borrow some of her Stampin Up stamps. One of them is the Loads of Love set so I am having a blast playing with it.

The stamp set comes with the pick up truck and then a bunch of other stamps you can use for the back of the truck. The sentiment says driving by with a birthday hi! I colored it in with crayola colored pencils and then I used two eyelets for the wheels for something extra.  You will be seeing more cards from this stamp set.
