Stamping on cross-stich fabric

I found some old cross-stich fabric in my craft stash and decided to put it to good use. I didn't know if it would work out but I stamped a flower image on the fabric. I like how it turned out. I used three different shades of pink for each square and then I frayed the edges and crinkled it before gluing it to my card. I just used my regular tumbo double sided tape to attach it. I used a crumbled up brown paper bag for the brown strip in the background and I put the front of the card through my cuttlebug embossing folder. Let me know what you think.

Card Challenge

Occasionally I will look through some of my magazines or card blogs and pick a card to make that I wouldn't normally think to try. Sometimes I just use the theme of a card as my challenge. I came across a masculine card in my papercraft magazine and decided to make that my next challenge. I wanted to make a card that would be appropriate for a man to receive. I don't make very many manly cards because I'm a woman and I like using pretty papers and lots of ribbon and other embellishments. I think my card turned out nicely. I used metal brads and one of my cuttlebug embossing folders to add some texture.

It's your day

I have a sentiment stamp that says it's your day. I LOVE that sentiment because it has sooo... many meanings. I've used it on Engagement cards, birthday cards, Anniversary Cards, Wedding Cards, Graduation cards and I"m sure more. It is a good sentiment to put on a card that you aren't sure who will be the recipient. So whomever may receive this card...It's Your Day!

Keeping it Simple

I think sometimes I forget the elegance and beauty of a simple card. White space is not bad and actually is a good design element

Birthday Cup cake

I got this stamp at Joanns in their dollar bin. It is an acrylic stamp. The Ribbon is just something I had in my stash. I actually bought it to use as trim on a baby dress I made. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background. I love the color combination and I would love hear what you think.

Busy as a Bee

I'm not the best at posting every day but I do the best I can. I've been trying to do as many different cards as I can. I use a lot of sketches from papercraftplanet.com and I also like to look at the Blogs I have linked on my blog for ideas.
