New Layout

This layout was inspired by a sketch I saw in Papercraft magazine. I really like it because it is very versatile. I can make a bunch of different themed cards with this layout and if you turn it sideways and use some cute Christmas paper it looks like whimsical Christmas trees.

Card Bling

I used my new embossing folder I mentioned earlier for the background of this card. The rest of the card-stock I used was just scraps from my stash of cut up card-stock. I found the diamond button in my button jar. I love using things that I already have that may not be exactly for cards. I think it makes the card more interesting and it makes me feel thrifty.

Spring

I am so happy it is Spring. I love going for walks and leaving the windows open and watching the flowers and trees bloom. I wanted to make a card for my friend that has bold colors and pretty patterns.

New Cuttlebug Folder

I have been potty training my two and a half year old son. We used a reward system to get him to use the potty and I am proud to say he is potty trained. I thought the reward system should apply to the potty trainer as well. I got myself a new Cuttlebug embossing folder as my reward :) I have had my eye on this folder for awhile. It isn't a new release. I just love how versatile it is. It reminds me of the old metal tiles that are on the ceilings of really old hotels. I can guarantee you will be seeing many more cards with this pattern on it.

Baby Quilt

The moment you have all been waiting for..... the revealing of the project I have been working on for a month and a half. 

Tadaaaa.......... I used the Connecticut star pattern for each block. I just changed up the colors. All the fabric came from my stash except for the purple fabric.

I made this quilt for my Sister in law Carrie and her baby Sydney. The fabric reminded me of her.

Carrie took the second picture and the last picture. I over exposed my pictures to the colors looked washed out. 

I loved working on this quilt. I paper-pieced the blocks. Paper piecing takes more time then regular quilting unless you are doing an intricate pattern. If I tried to do this same pattern without paper piecing it would have been a nightmare. This is the book I got the pattern from. I love every single pattern in this book.

I've also used the Ohio Star pattern from this book to make a table runner.

I hope I didn't make you wait too long to see the project. I am working on another project right now as well. Super Busy

I've been working on two really big projects. That is why I haven't posted anything for two weeks. I'm really excited to show you once I finish. I'll probably finish one of them by mid March. I'll be sure to take pictures so you call can see.

Easy Valentine Craft

This craft is brought to you by The Crafting Chicks.  Her blog had a free download. I simply downloaded the picture and printed it. Then I put it in a black frame that I already had. You could do what I did or you could add some ribbon to your frame or you could paint an old ugly frame. This is my only Valentine decoration and it didn't cost me anything.
