As
soon as I saw this fabric at Joanns I put it in my cart and bought all
that they had. I was able to make two large pillows out of it. It was
exactly what I wanted for the patio.
The Aqua fabric has a nice texture to it. It was on clearance and I thought it would add some nice color. My other patio furniture padding is black and white.
I don't really have a Before picture for the bench. It was free though. Jeff fixed the legs and tightened everything. I gave it a light sanding. I was thinking about painting it or restaining it but I really love the weathered look. It is really comfy. If it wasn't so hot here I would probably add a throw as well. But alas it is still 90 degrees here.
The cushion cover actually was a lot harder to make than I thought it would be. The piping I added was really bulky and the outdoor fabric frayed a lot. The cover can be removed and washed if we need to. This bench is in our covered screened in patio so I'm not too worried about it getting dirty. The total cost for this bench, matching coffee table, cushion and cover and the pillows is $60.
I'll just have to be sure to bring my pillows in when the next hurricane comes :)

I love this fabric!!! Funny story about these pillows. I decided to make all four of these pillows the day before we had a huge housewarming BBQ. My husband, Jeff, had been out of town all week and got back the day before the party really late. I don't know what I was thinking, I guess I didn't think I had enough stuff to do. Anyway....while I was sewing these pillows I sewed the whole way around the fabric and didn't leave a hole for myself to stuff them with my poly-fill. So after making that mistake I put two pins to remind me to stop. It didn't work. I sewed the whole was around the second one too. I sewed the whole way around all four of them! You'd think I would have learned my lesson or put the project aside because I was obviously not thinking clearly. Oh well, it made me laugh, after I screamed.
